nougatI was glad to watch the first "Beur" movie and the first French movie about the "banlieues". Overall it does a good job at bringing to life the 1970s in the banlieues (the projects), especially racism of older people and a younger, more mixed generation which is looking for something more than a job at the factory. It focuses, like so many movies, on a male friendship, where women are treated as mere commodities or made fun of. I guess it is supposed to show you the tenderness of the main characters, caught between ideas of masculinity and their sensitivity (I was not very convinced by this part).Créée le 06/12/2012
