In 2018, Yeo won the Golden Leopard award at the 71st Locarno Film Festival with A Land Imagined, and went on to win Best Film at the Singapore International Film Festival’s Silver Screen Awards, under the Asian Feature Film Competition.

It is the first time that a Singapore film has won the award.
