Born in suburban New Jersey with little to no filter on the media she consumed as a child, Heather Landsman's formative experiences of endlessly watching horror movies, growing up on 90s/2000s video games, and having unlimited access to the internet have flourished into a one of a kind horror screenwriting/filmmaking career.
As a trans filmmaker under the school of thought that cinema is a medium of pure sensory experience, a lot of her work tends to revolve around imagery of otherworldly/cosmic transformation, as well as oppressive systems of control.
