Dorothea Jones was born in Dublin, Ireland and grew up in a small town in Galway, West of Ireland.

Jones was studying an Art degree when tragedy struck and her grandmother passed away, this had a huge effect on Dorothea as the last conversation she had with her grandmother she told her that, the art degree wouldn't make her happy and she should follow her dreams to become an actress promising she will always be with her and look over her.
