Born in Chicago, Illinois, Bazlen showed an early talent for acting and began her career as a child performer, appearing in local theater productions.
Bazlen's big break came in 1957 when she was cast in the film "The Green Dolphin Street", opposite Hollywood stars like Lana Turner and Van Heflin.
