Simone de Bollardière, born Simone Ertaud on February 10, 1922 in Nantes, is an emblematic figure of pacifism and non-violence in France.
She is best known for her commitment alongside her husband, General Jacques Pâris de Bollardière, famous for his opposition to torture during the Algerian War.
Simone grew up in a family where humanist values were very present.
