Erik Mariñelarena Herrera (born January 10, 1977 in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican director, screenwriter, editor, and producer. In a career spanning two decades, Mariñelarena has made twelve feature films.

including Beyond the Summit: Learning to Fly (2011) - First Mexican IMAX production, Hotel Chelsea (2009), The Cosmonaut (2013) and NASA: AzTechSat-1 (2023); as well as several series for television and streaming. His work has been praised by audiences and critics alike, which earned him multiple accolades, including Emmy Award, Sundance and Cannes.
