Fernando Cortizo Rodríguez, born in 1973 in Santiago de Compostela, is a Galician director and screenwriter.

After practicing for a time as a veterinarian, he became interested in real-image cinema, and made two real-image short films, before moving on to stop-motion animation with the short film Black Cat Spantat.
