Baalaji was born in Madurai and completed Master’s degree in Molecular Virology and has worked as research fellow in few reputed institutions in Chennai.

Later, when he found his interest towards cinema, he acted in a short film titled “2 idli 2 vadai”, for a competitive show “Naalaiya Iyakkunar” in Kalaignar Tv.
